Overview
Push Gaming was granted a licence for US states including New Jersey and Michigan, allowing us to enter one of the most anticipated markets in years.
The Problem
Some games from our catalogue that are used in other regulated markets were not compliant in their current state as there were additional regulatory requirements that needed to be adhered to by the MGCB for Michigan and the DGE for New Jersey.
Therefore we decided to make new versions of games we wanted to release in the US to be compliant.
The Approach
The commercial team identified which games they wanted from the catalogue in the US. I acted as a Game Producer leading a team to convert the games and make new versions.
- Obtained new maths models from our mathematicians with validated RTP from volume tests over a number of sims
- Arranged client updates required in games - multiplier values, jackpot values, symbol bandings, help page updates
- Arranged getting new game servers and having these integrated with existing clients to create a US version of a game
- Produced Games Description Documents for converted games
- Submitted new versions of the games to test house for certificates and approvals
- Agreed with commercial team on release dates for operator roll-out and arranged enabling games for those dates in production
The Solution
For each game we converted we effectively had a new version of the game, the original version continued to be used in their respective regulated markets and the US versions were released in Michigan and New Jersey.
My team converted 14 games so they could be released in US markets these included - Big Bamboo, Razor Returns and Fat Banker.
The games were released with our first US partner - BetMGM.
Impact
Converted games my team built and were released on BetMGM helped generate additional revenue for Push Gaming.
